Two Former Students Are Creating a Film at Chase Collegiate

September 4, 2019

Chase Collegiate alumni Brian Smail (Class of 2015) and Mark Albini (Class of 2014) will be coming back to the Waterbury area in October of this year to create a short film with ties to their experiences in our community.

The crime drama film centered around a New England prep school, titled "Checks and Balance" will feature major scenes throughout Waterbury, including Chase Collegiate.

"Just from an aesthetic background, Chase really has it all," said Albini. He and Smail are both excited to be returning home where "their journey first began."

To help with filming, the filmmakers have launched a crowdfunding campaign at SeedandSparks.com. The team here at Chase is excited to be a part of this great venture!
